It may be difficult for your child to readjust to life back home but spending time with family and friends really helps in his/her transition. To help my child readjust, I made sure that she spent time with friends and visited places that she could not find while studying abroad. Surrounding herself with familiar things will also helped her get back in the rhythm of life back home.

At first, it took a while for my child to readjust back to her normal environment because she missed her friends there. I tried to help her by listening to her stories and keeping her busy. Eventually, about a month later, she became pretty accustomed to life back home. I found that as she got busier with school, work, activities, and hanging out with friends, this made her transition easier.
